Maggie and I took a trial hike on the real PCT in early June. We went into the High Sierra in a place which kept finding its way into my fantasies. Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite, the name alone was magic to me. We had decided this was our goal, we were planning to hike the PCT from Canada to here. We’d arrive at Tuolumne in late October and most likely not be able to pass into the high country when that time came.

Before we arrived back in California, we had to drive across the country again…
